Composed Chaos ("we," "us") makes audio software and music. This policy explains what limited personal information we collect, why, and who processes it on our behalf. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to sell our products and support them.

Information we collect

• Email address: when you download a free item (such as the Numen Free IR Pack), buy a product, or otherwise sign up. We use it to deliver what you asked for and to send occasional product updates.
• Order information: name, email, and billing details you provide at checkout. Payments are processed by our reseller, Lemon Squeezy; we do not see or store your full payment-card details.
• Anonymous error reports: if our plugins encounter a problem, they can send an anonymous report (software version, plugin format, operating system, and technical diagnostic details) so we can fix bugs. These reports are not tied to your identity, and the plugin asks before sending.
• Update checks: our plugins periodically request a small version file to tell you when an update is available. This is a standard web request and is not used to identify you.

How we use your information

• To deliver the products and downloads you request.
• To send you product news, updates, and occasional offers (you can unsubscribe at any time).
• To diagnose and fix software problems and improve our products.
• To meet legal and accounting obligations.

Who processes your data

We rely on a small number of third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Lemon Squeezy: our Merchant of Record, handling checkout, payments, and product delivery.
• Cloudflare: hosting for this website and for the relay that forwards anonymous error reports.
• GitHub: where anonymous error reports are logged as issues for us to triage.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it except as needed to provide these services or to comply with the law.

Cookies & analytics

This site does not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our host may collect aggregate, server-side traffic statistics that do not identify you individually.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message. To ask what data we hold about you, or to request correction or deletion, email mwilliams@composed-chaos.com and we'll help.

Data retention

We keep order records as required for accounting and legal purposes, and email-list data until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.

Children

Our products and site are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
